Manny L. Birch was born in Bronx, NY in the mid 80′s. He grew up with his grandparents who helped foster a love of reading and writing at a very young age.  Manny traveled quite a bit as a teen and young adult most notably to Tokyo where he practiced his Japanese language skills.  He attended Ithaca College in upstate New York for undergrad and the CUNY graduate system for graduate work.  He continues to use his love of dance and music to inspire his writing as evidenced by his first series Songs My Father Taught Me, in which music plays a subtle but important role in the events of the series.
